There are various types of deodorizing products on the market, with varying quality. If classified by nature, they can be mainly divided into two categories: biological deodorants and plant liquid deodorants. The deodorization methods and principles of the two types of deodorants are also very different. What are the differences between biological deodorants and plant liquid deodorants? Which is better and which is worse?
Biological deodorants use microorganisms to degrade or convert organic pollutants in odorous gases into low harmful substances. Its principle is to decompose and eliminate odor sources through biological oxidation, with a wide range of deodorization scales. It also suppresses the number of anaerobic or other harmful bacteria through bacterial balance, preventing them from producing odor. Through microorganisms and beneficial bacteria, it decomposes organic matter, blocks organic matter from producing ammonia and hydrogen sulfide (odor), and generates and proliferates harmful bacteria.
Chemical deodorization generally includes two types: odor masking method and chemical reaction method.
Odor concealment method: that is, use aromatic agents to cover up the odor. As long as people with mental disabilities like this method, for example, put aromatic essential oil in the car, the smoked people can't open their eyes, or they may get dizzy. There is also air freshener, which makes me feel nauseous when I smell it. The concealment method actually involves adding toxic fragrances to the original odor, which poses greater harm to the environment and human health.
Chemical reaction method: refers to the use of bactericidal or disinfecting chemicals to kill bacteria or undergo a chemical reaction with odorous substances to deodorize, such as isothiazolidone, trichloroisocyanide, etc. The deodorization effect is very good and the harm to human health is not significant. Usually used in places with foul odors such as toilets, septic tanks, and landfills.
From this, it can be seen that the difference between biological deodorants and chemical deodorants lies in both a fundamental and a symptomatic approach, making biological deodorants increasingly useful.
Biological deodorants can also effectively remove odorous gases such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia; Significantly reduce the content of COD and ammonia nitrogen in sewage, enhance the purification speed and ability of sewage, have no toxic side effects on human body, animals and plants, and do not cause any pollution to the environment. Compared with other physical and chemical methods, biological treatment has lower investment, lower operating costs, and pollutants will not be transferred to other areas, resulting in no secondary pollution.
The use of plant deodorants is not constrained by environmental conditions. Whether it is the high temperature in the south in summer or the low temperature in the north in winter, the efficacy of plant deodorants will not be affected. This is one of the reasons why plant deodorants will gradually replace biological deodorants. Biological deodorants require the proliferation of bacterial strains, and as we all know, bacterial strains can have an impact in excessively cold and hot environments. In severe cases, they can even kill bacterial strains, making them less effective. This is also the advantage of plant deodorants.
