Since its opening last year, the Galaxy Variety Hall, a new landmark of Macau's cultural and entertainment industry, has attracted world-class top singers including popular Korean girl group BLACKPINK, versatile musician Wang Jia'er, Hong Kong music queen Chen Huilin, American rock band One Republic, Malaysian love song queen Leung Jingru, and newly popular Thai singer Ma Qunyao Billkin to perform in the venue, bringing rich entertainment and leisure experiences to travelers from all over the world.
Building the largest stage load-bearing device for indoor venues has become a milestone in stage engineering
The Galaxy Variety Hall is remarkable for its advanced equipment and top-notch load-bearing devices, such as creating the largest indoor venue in the Greater Bay Area for the "Better 2024 Jiangsu TV New Year's Eve Concert", becoming a milestone in stage engineering. As a result, the Galaxy Variety Museum has also been invited to participate in the Stage Engineering course at the Hong Kong Institute of Higher Education and Technology (THE), providing on-site surveys and industry exchanges, fully showcasing the venue and receiving recognition from industry authorities.

Students who have visited the equipment in the venue up close have benefited greatly
The THEi Academy of High Sciences Stage Engineering course aims to provide professional and technical knowledge in stage engineering, as well as safety awareness, to individuals engaged in or interested in stage engineering in the performance industry through lectures and practical training. On the day of the event, a group of THEi High School students visited the design and structure of the venue, as well as the audio and video playback equipment, and had in-depth exchanges and learning with the technical personnel inside the venue. Dr. Liu Yaohui, Assistant Professor of Construction, Environment and Engineering at THEi High School, and Dr. Du Siyuan, a visiting professor and Hong Kong registered professional engineer with extensive experience in stage engineering supervision at THEi High School, hosted a seminar for course students and technical staff at Galaxy Variety Hall, sharing pre performance technical acceptance standards and operating procedures, and engaging in interactive exchanges and discussions with the venue. Some students expressed that they have benefited greatly from being able to visit the equipment up close and exchange opinions with industry professionals and peers.

Establishing the concept of "life safety first" in occupational safety card training courses
In addition, in order to improve the work standards of employees in the entertainment and performance industry, Galaxy Variety Hall and Guangdong Performance Industry Association jointly launched the "Exhibition Activity Occupational Safety Card Training Course" for the first time in Australia. Over 40 Galaxy Variety Hall employees participated in two days of professional knowledge training. The occupational safety card for exhibition and performance activities (Yan'an Card) aims to establish the concept of "life safety first" among the workers in the construction of temporary stage facilities for exhibition and performance activities, enforce regulations from the source, effectively prevent stage accidents, and make Yan'an Card a "green pass" for exhibition and performance activities in the Greater Bay Area.

Industry leaders share industry laws and regulations, and all employees unanimously obtain professional qualifications for Yan'an Card
In the two-day training course, leaders from the stage performance industry in the Greater Bay Area shared the latest laws and regulations of the performance industry, and also demonstrated professional skills and knowledge including truss application, personal protection and practical exercises for high-altitude operations, and explanation of first aid methods to the employees of the Galaxy Variety Hall who participated in the training, enabling them to work efficiently in a safe environment. After the assessment and evaluation, all members passed unanimously and obtained the professional qualification for the performance card.
Dr. Du Siyuan, the training supervisor for stage engineering courses at Yan Anka and THEi High School of Sciences, said:; "The equipment of Galaxy Variety Hall, especially its advanced lifting and main frame load-bearing capacity, is second to none in Hong Kong and Macau. They attach great importance to stage construction safety, conduct thorough risk assessments, and avoid many problems, which is indeed leading the way in the Macau industry. We are honored to lead students to Galaxy Variety Hall to learn about the venue's equipment and share experience. Through this industry exchange activity, we hope that all employees will understand and master the latest technical knowledge and construction standards, which are an indispensable part of the entire exhibition industry."
